HALLOWEEN HORROR POSTER

This poster was for a Halloween horror movie poster project. I chose the 1923 Swedish silent horror film Haxan, which had left an impact on me after seeing it a few months prior. The film provided many striking visuals to draw inspiration from. I decided to base most of the concept of the poster around a portion of the film tells the story of a monastery of nuns after one of the sisters becomes possessed by the devil. The concept behind the artwork was to show the hand of the devil looming over the once peaceful monastery.
